![]() Those pages from the waking up to the getting outside and discovering the Scorch (the name for the area outside, no spoiler) are like half of the first act, but according to the trailer it looks like much more. Honestly everything beyond them walking outside is a change. AFAI Recall they're only moving in four rooms (bedrooms, dining room, meet-the-man-room + one that could technically be a spoiler, for any book-readers I'm talking about the other guy) They meet a man (only one, probably the one we see in the teaser), they ask him things and then whosh they're sent off to the plot of the book. There's no factory or whatever that is in the trailer. They're in what I imagined as an abandoned dorm. The kids wake up where the first book ended. ![]() There's no "welcome to the Scorch"-speech. The fact that we also saw the maze being OUTSIDE is already changing things from the third book but ey, I guess they can change that. Basically, they got out and were then IMMEDIATELY (as in bus comes get them, a page later books ends sort of) shuffled off to bed. The first book, Maze Runner ending with half a cliffhanger/half a finish. Not the one you replied to but I can! Spoiler-free, only talking about stuff you've already seen in the movie.
